PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Desiccated Coconut is the dried white meat of coconut processed under stringent food processing guidelines and is widely used in the food industry for its unique taste and excellent blending properties with other food ingredients. Desiccated coconut can also be sweetened or unsweetened and Low SO2 and SO2 Free.

DESICCATED COCONUT CLASSIFICATIONS
- Medium: Used in fillings for candy bars, toppings for cakes and pastries, and
ingredients for institutional foods, cereals, and cookies.
- Macaroon: A fine granular cut used for macaroon candies, cakes and cookies,
toppings and home cooked recipes.
- Extra Fine: Very fine grains of desiccated coconut used for cakes, pastries,
cookies and biscuits.
- Flake: (1/2 - 1 inch lengths) Used for bakery toppings, coconut tea, decorations
and confectionery centers.
- Mill Run Chip: Used for specialty confectionery snack packs and trail mixes.
- Fancy Shred: Used for bakery toppings and decorations.
STORAGE AND SHELF-LIFE Store at ambient temperatures of 50-60˚F. Store in an odour free room away from sunlight. Avoid storage in high moisture areas.
